On 23 January 2009, I hosted a "Geocaching 101" event for people I've met through Twitter. They had seen my tweets about geocaching and were interesting in learning more, so I put on an informal event. LeftCoastMama, Hollyburn, QuigleyJones, and Cuddlefish all helped out, and Landsharkz even lent us a GeomateJr to demo to the kids.... full article

In conjunction with local geocaching organizations, the BCGA will co-host geocaching events across the province. Light the Geo Torch events will be held on either the first or second weekend in February. This is a great chance for people new to geocaching to mix and mingle with seasoned geocachers.
